Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology Job Specialty: Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Chemotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment Job Description: - Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implement and monitor patient care plans. - Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. - Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. - Support a 40-bed oncology unit, caring for patients from diagnosis throughout the continuum of care. - Provide oncological support, including radiation, chemotherapy/immunotherapy, and cellular therapy treatments. - Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment within the scope of the job.
